Swan-e-Set Mens Club 2009 Draw

Handicaps current for the day of the match are to be used. Strokes to be given as per the LINKS Score Card.
The higher handicap player will get strokes on the difference between the higher handicap player and the lower
handicap player.

All participants must have valid current handicap. Handicaps will be checked immediately prior to each round.
Any irregularities will result in disqualification. The Mens Club Handicap Committee reserves the right to
alter any of the conditions herein. The committee reserves the right to reject or disqualify the entry of any
applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee in any matter shall be final.
White tees are the tournament teeing ground for each match.

All matches must be completed on the day played (e.g. cannot be carried over to another day). Matches tied
after 18 holes must continue until conclusion beginning with Hole #1 and onwards in sudden death format, and
the first player who goes 1 up will be declared the winner. Once a match has started, the match must be
completed unless both players agree. (e.g. the weather conditions to be unplayable). If there is not an agreement
between the two players, then the match must continue. If the match has been suspended, it is to re-start as if the
suspension never happened (e.g. restart at the hole which the match was suspended with exact ball position and
score) and must still be completed by the specified date.

Current golf course playing conditions on the day of the match are accepted as the rules of play.

Both the top and bottom draw players are encouraged to instigate the contact for arranging the match. Players are
responsible to play on the earliest and most opportune day for BOTH players. Both players are responsible to
play the match inside the prescribed dates.

All match play score cards must be turned into the pro shop and signed by both players.

Either player may request a marker be present during the round.

All decisions of the mens Club Committee are final.

Procedure of play:

All matches will commence by the player at the top of the draw hitting first on the first tee. The winner of the
previous hole will tee off first on the next hole. All matches must be played inside the prescribed time under the
above-mentioned rules.

Recording Scores for Match Play

Each match is part of a Tournament, and should therefore be entered in the computer as a Tournament score.

If a hole is not completed by a player, (the hole is conceded) their score for the hole should be recorded as their
most likely score, which can not exceed the players Equitable Stroke Control limit (Handicap 1-18 = 2 over par,
Handicap 19-32 = 3 over par, Handicap 33+ = 4 over par).

If a hole is not played due to the match being completed, the player shall record a score of par plus any handicap
strokes they are entitled on that hole. (e.g. If you are a 4 handicap and your match ended on #15, and you
decided not to continue to play, then you should mark down a score of 5 for Hole #16, 3 for Hole #17, 4 for Hole
#18)

Failure to play the match inside the appointed timeframe:

Should the match not be completed by the deadline date, the Match Play Chairman will contact the two
participants regarding the reason for the delay. The Match Play Chairman will then discuss the reason of the
delay with the Head Golf Professional. Should the committee deem the match DEAD, the match will be
decided by a coin toss. The Head Golf Professional will perform the coin toss, witnessed by a member of the
Committee. The player on the top of the draw will be heads, the player on the bottom of the draw will be tails.

The decision of the Match Play Committee is then final.

Resolution of Disputes:

Should there be any disputes during the playing of the match, they should be referred to the Match Play
Chairman or the Head Golf Professional.

12 Players are required for each event. Please sign up at the pro-shop for each event if you are interested in playing.  Should we get more than 12 players signing up Al Brotherton will place all the names into a hat and do a draw.  Either way, you will be notified at least 3 days before each event whether you are on the team. Those of you that will be playing will be required to give Al Brotherton the $35 entry fee in CASH (either before or at the event). For more information please contact Al Brotherton at 604-619-0704.

This three day workshop is for persons who have completed Level 2 or equivalent) of the RCGA Rules of Golf education program.

The course will include practical sessions which demonstrate how the Rules apply on the golf course and an optional exam which may lead to provincial certification. Presentations will be made both in an indoor workshop and on the course.
